The body of the lamp is made from aircraft grade aluminum with a type III hard anodized finish and is therefore very robust.
Additionally the flashlights are waterproof by the terms of the IPX-8 standard and have a lifespan of approximately 50 000 hours.
The LD01 is powered by a AAA-Mignon battery, and the digitally regulated output maintains constant brightness in three different brightness levels, and with a length of only just 7cm is the shortest flashlight in the LD-series.
The XP-E LED module from Cree reaches a brightness of 72 lumens with a range of approximately 50m and due to its very low weight it is easily mounted to a key chain.
